It is your responsibility to proofread your thesis carefully before submitting the final version, and to make sure that the thesis you submit is complete, accurate, and free of errors.
The term “thesis” in this section of the website is used collectively to refer to both master’s theses and doctoral dissertations. As of July 17,pre-reviews are no longer mandatory for doctoral dissertations immediately prior to submission for the external examiner.
We recommend you submit your thesis a minimum of 3 – 5 days before any deadlineas corrections may be required. Supplementary materials must be relevant to the thesis work and consist of electronic material or multimedia that cannot easily be included in the PDF of your thesis.
Your completed thesis is a published guidellnes archived document that will be a reflection of you and your work at the university. All theses will be freely available electronically through the UBC Library website and the Library and Archives Canada website shortly after submission. The only exceptions to the requirement for a table of contents are musical recitals and some Master of Fine Arts theses.
